>>33182920This. There's no way to get hidden abilities in BW1 anymore. There's no way to change your bottom screen or pokedex theme anymore (I still have the cool 2011 championships pikachu theme on my BW1). There's no way to get people in Join Avenue anymore. There's no way to 100% the medals anymore. There's no way to memory link yourself without two consoles anymore. There's no way to visit Unity Tower anymore.
I have the same sentiment towards Events which unlock special areas/subplots, especially in gen4, but those aren't as crucial to normal gameplay, and you can create a local distribution beacon for the wonder cards with just a spare DS anyway. In contrast, nobody has figured out how Dream World or the PGL work so there's no clones/alternatives.
It's kind of what keeps me from replaying BW1 and playing BW2 for the first time. It'll just be impossible to get the full experience™.
