11 here in peak Poke-mania. It was great. So new, so fresh. I remember getting the special Pikachu edition yellow game boy + Pokemon Yellow for Christmas 1999. My fondest memories are of playing yellow late at night, using the moonlight in my window to see the game.

The best year to be born for the pokecraze was 1988 as you would've been 10 by that time

Fall 1987 - Spring 1989 is your sweet spot in this reguard and don't try to pretend otherwise.

are you gate-keeping? 11 is perfect for pokemon. not too young, not too old yet. hell I remember practically every kid in my 5th and 6th grade class was crazy about it. we'd trade cards during recess and lunch.
