Yeah, if Pokemon took itself more seriously, then I feel like Game Freak would have something good on their hands. And it wouldn't even have to be serious 24/7; just go the typical shounen route. A somewhat serious plot broken up by the occasional bouts of comedy.

It just feels like the SM anime is trying too hard to be like every other popular anime series that's out there currently (JoJo, YW).

Generations was super hit-and-miss but when it hit it was fantastic. It's a real shame they didn't turn it into Pokémon Chronicles 2 with full-length 22-minute episodes. I wanted more Origins and I want more Generations.
