Here'see proof of midday Lycanroc still having a chance.

In the special anime addition to the TCG, we have cards of every single one of Ash's pokemons. We have a ash with Rowlet, pikachu, and litten. And a rockruff with kukui. And it's not just them. But team rocket too. We see all there pokemons too. But then strangely enough. There is a Lycanroc midday card in the set as well. But no midnight.
And gladion has midnight Lycanroc. And he's supposed to be ash's friendly rival. And ash hasn't beaten him yet.
And you can complain that Olivia has a daydog. But seen in the last episode. It was fodder. And I think they gave her a day dog to make it more random to what rockruff will evolve into.
And speaking of the mysterious toys on the tomy leaks or whatever. They said that the mystery toys are going to be Ultra SM related, right. We've seen the Ultra SM trailer, and it showed us some pretty interesting stuff. Especially these three pokemons that seem t o either be doing a New Z-move, or It's a cut scene for there challenge. And what are those three pokemons.

Now in that GTS thing that had a third place holder for Lycanroc. Keep in mind it's the same thing for Mimiku and steelchu. They have a place holder too. My guess is that that mysterious place holder for Mimiku, steelchu, and Lycanroc midday, are totums versions. But they didn't make it to SM so they saved it for Ultra SM
We are getting some Ultra SM material soon and I think midday Lycanroc is considered that kind of Material.
But it could all mean nothing and we potentially just a third form. But that would beg the question. Does Mimiku and steelchu have a new form too.
