Op here, i think they revealed the new lycanrock because its going to be the pokemon we use in the usum demo because if you look on the pokemon site it says that you cant catch it in the wild so it would make sense that the first new pokemon that we see is the one we will use in the demo

Non puoi catturare = You can not capture. Though in the footage from yesterday, Rockruff was shown evolving into Lycanroc Dusk so it seems that Dusk can not be caught in the wild like Midday and Midnight but Rockruff can still evolve into it.

as an italian, I see that the italian page indeed says that, but after looking at the english/japanese pages yesterday...they simply say you can't catch it by conventional means like day/night wolf

Except that's wrong, the demo gift is portrayed as event, even the code says Ash's Greninja is a mythical pokémon (so even-only).
Demos are different than regular events but still the same shit, Ash's Greninja was a mythical to promote SM and Ash's Rockruff is a mythical to promote USUM
