Can someone catch me up with Roothoot?

Why is everyone saying it's real? Yes, I know the design """leaked""" before the starter names did, but couldn't the faker just randomly have guessed the Grass-type starter would be a green/brown-coloured and an owl? It's not an impossible scenario.

I'm honestly not 100% convinced.
