What are your reasons for deluding yourself into thinking that the Switch game will be better than the trash we've gotten in the past few years?

In an ideal scenario, gamefreak will charge 60 dollars for the games, and due to that, we will get a complete game right off the bat instead of having to buy enhanced versions. I want gym leader rematches, move tutors, and battle facilities and I'll be happy

THis is a plus. I know people are going to call me an impatient whiner, but sometimes just the second and a half it takes to open the PC or summary screen drives me crazy when I'm really trying to organize pokemon

Most of that could be done faster in the current games. For some reason they've got hundreds of layers of encryption/decryption constantly going off for no reason which slows them down.

It's just Game Freak being retarded in a less fun way then they used to be.

That only means the graphics will look better which is a very small plus. Just because they have a stronger console doesn't mean Game Freak will do a better job with level design or writing (which are major elements that they have sucked at hard recently), nor does it mean that they're going to implement any good features or bring back beloved old ones.

And I'm not against a Switch game, I just don't expect it to be good.

Recent games have been lackluster because GF has felt the need to compete with the mobile market and reach out to casuals. Due to Pokemon being a handheld game, and smartphones arguably outpacing them. But now they're gonna have to step it up. They're dealing with the dedicated gaming community now. Nobody bought the Nintendo Switch, or any home console for that matter, for the kind of design philosophy that we see in XY, ORAS or SM. They bought it for bigger experiences. There's no way they can come to bigger hardware for the first and give us more linearized railroad fests.

I'm excited for Pokemon coming to the Switch, but then I realised that with Game Freak's current stance on design and content that the games definitely won't be worth the high price they'll inevitably be.

Not to mention I wish they'd fix the issue with Switch saves being stuck on the console and not possible to be saved to removable storage.
