There were threads with legitimate arguments about it being real before then because of the artwork, Japanese, and Popplio's concept matching with what was revealed at E3.people thought the artwork was shoddy, mainly because of balloon fingers and shitty anatomy on the own. anyone can toss random Japanese onto an image, and Poppolio's concept matching is pure speculation that can be applied to literally every fake Poppolio starter.

joe's problem wasn't that he called them obviously fake at first. sure its as asshole way of saying it, but that alone isnt enough. its the fact that he kept acting like an ass about the leaks and stuck to them being fake long after it became clear they were real
