I think it's crystal from necrozma, and it's just transform starters and other into their Z formes [greninja] they made starters shit this gen for some reason...

and I think it will only activate when starter will have battle bond ability, but this is too much for GF, they dropped megas so they won't introduce new alternative designs

more realistic option is, that it's just crystal to fuse necrozma and solgaleo/lunala during battle into Z form

The reason that Lycanroc's form is being released as a special pokemon is because you can't catch it in game, but have to fuse midnight and day Lycanroc together to get it
Legendaries are fused with Necrozma this way too
you'll be able to do it with an ultra-beast just like the way Lusamine did
The reason Solrock and Luntatone weren't big in the first game is that they are getting a combo eclipse form
