>>33258710To that end, I really loved the individual glimpses into Lusamine's past, because not only did we get into Aether's history, they also shed a light on her as a character and her history with the UBs—how personal it all was for her, what it did to her mental state, etc. One of my personal favorites was Lillie's memory of Lusamine as a warm, caring mother and how contrasting that image was compared to the Aether President who went crazy.
I don't know, I just liked the characterization and the idea of an antagonist who was as much a victim of circumstance as the heroes. It felt more natural to have her be someone who, by all accounts, started out as relatable and gradually became evil. I really hope they delve even deeper into that in USUM.
