>>33298268What an odd little town pallet town was. It functionally served no purpose, in-game and for the residents. Just a random clearing surrounded by mountains and pokemon. No movie theatres, no grocery stores, no shopping malls, no retailers. Even for Prof. Oak, it makes no sense to conduct his research here considering the pokemon ecosystem was so limited (mostly rattata, pidgeys, caterpie, the occasional sandshrew). Why didn't they move to the next town over? So it could be closer to viridian or pewter. Pallet town makes no sense.
