I don't think any such thing. I think they SHOULD have secrets because that's a fact. The "secrets" of the glitches in Gen 1 and with there actually being a secret Pokémon was a major pushing point for keeping the series alive. And they know it because they've admitted it and it's why they still do event only Pokémon now so you've no argument against it.
By your failed logic, people would only care about naked bodies but lingerie is a thing for a reason. Mystery and exploration helps sell even ultimately useless things like lingerie for most people.
Also, no they wouldn't tell us everything yet. Pokkén DX is why. There is no reason to assume we'll get any big information about them until October because the Switch matters to Nintendo and closely related companies like Game Freak, Creatures, and TPC.
This information season is going precisely as I predicted back then, so far... Once the leak about the Pokkén controller working with the Switch was revealed it was obvious what the Direct was going to feature - mostly Pokkén with a short tag on about a new main series in an attempt to not overshadow it.
Once the first couple weeks after Pokkén DX have passed - AKA a game's general main selling period - they'll shift focus to US/UM and not heavily before.
I would also note they don't normally talk about returning features outside remakes either which is most of what this will be. Not a secret per se, but not something they'll mention. Extra stuff, just nothing worth telling us about because we've seen it before.
