It was my birthday a few days ago, and I just wanted to share some poke feels.

>find refuge only in the world of Pokemon

>adventure all to myself
>beat up for playing it at school
>dont care

Fast forward to my birthday this year
>down about life
>birthday coming, one step closer to death
>questioning the point of existing
>weighed down by adulthood
>cant sleep
>finally decide to beat Pokemon X, the one gen i was too poor to buy when it was released
>get through ice area, go to heal at a pokemon center before i fight the gym
>walk in, screen is dark suddenly
>lights come on in pokemon center
>streamers fly
>nurse joy wishes me happy birthday
>thanks me for all the good years, says she hopes i will be visiting the pokemon center for years to come
>sit in silence
>start crying
>realize ive been wasting my life by living in the future
>so many good years ahead to enjoy
>Pokemon made me feel better again, 20 fucking years later
>nurse joy is the first person to wish me a happy birthday this year
