More of a just "oh that's pretty cool" I remember I lost my shit when I got a full odds Pidove in Black when that came out, but I accidentally deleted that save so rip
I do occasionally make a sound of happiness after a long hunt / on a shiny that I really wanted

Last shiny was (sorta unfortunately, although it's still neat to have) a torrent froakie in box two, others in the pic are from the last week or so.

If I get a shiny I don't want, I'm usually disappointed; however, I will still acknowledge its presence. If I do get the one I get, my heart skips a beat because the hunt is over, preceded with a small gasp, but maybe something over-the-top if it's a long hunt.

at least 3 shinies under 1000 eggs without the charm is pretty nice. Hopefully the next shiny is the right one

Combining these two because it's a layered hunt.
First, I need to hunt for a scrappy Pancham in the X Friend Safari in hopes of getting a shiny in the process. Then I'll horde hunt while I grind it in OR. Finally, I'll use it with False Swipe and Double Hit to hunt Mimikyu in Moon. It's a long process, I know, but SoS battles are more fun than spinning in a box like a retard with shitty music playing.

In Shiny hunting, a "phase" is when you are hunting in a place that could get you more than one possible Shiny of a different species, but you have a certain target. Therefore, when you get something that isn't your target, you reset your counter and call it a new phase. So far, I'm on phase 4.

In Ruby & Sapphire, if the battery is dead, your Shiny seed never changes, so REs work for Shinies (or other methods, look them up on YT) but SRs are a no-go.
FRLG do not have this at all
Emerald is the same as RS even if the battery is working.

If you really want to control its stats for battling, yes then mm is better, but if you just want the shiny to have it sos can be faster. You get guaranteed 4iv and 30% ha chance at 30 and up in the chain though so the shiny still might be a decent battling pokemon.

Also, natures are easy to Synchronize, and you can always Hyper Train any lacking IVs.
The only real downside to SOS chaining is the inability to get egg moves on your Pokemon.

Was actually finishing my last batch before doing some IRL shit, then it popped as the fourth egg in

IV's are kinda decent, only one lacking is SpeDef in the 20s or so, sadly, but propably still good enough to run for the Battle Tree.

Regular Venusaur looks like garbage imho, shiny is a big improvement.
Not sure what to go for next, either Skarmory or Gabite SoS chaining.
Leaning more towards Gabite because Garchomp is my bro and the shiny mega fits my fruitcake tastes.
