Well Shin Megami Tensei is basically an edgy, unbalanced Pokémon game, so we kinda have that game already.

The religious/psychological/whatever plot never mattered to me, but it's great you want a monster catching game with an challenging single-player campaign.

Honestly? That's silly and all, maybe cringey even, but it was entertaining and pretty funny. If that's what Persona is actually kind of like then I'm much more interested in it now. I get that it's supposed to be full of clichés and awkward, but it was still kind of neat for what it is.
