I don't think so. Most of the times Sam could come out on top was directly because of Barudoru fucking up something or not reading the read and going for the obvious play (example, Tapu Fini staying against Garchomp and switching to Mandibuzz against Z-Move Nature Power). Every other time you could watch how he was almost choking while Barudoru dominated the match

Honestly, the best thing about the Finals was that it was an equal match. Since we got into 3D it has been nothing but one-sided curbstomps.

I was cheering for Barudoru, but I had no idea if he would win or lose, and whenever I was starting to lose hope he made a comeback. And ultimately it all depended on one last turn and read. That, I believe, was the most exciting part of it all.

I still need to watch VGC Finals, but overall Pokken was easily one of the most entertaining brackets this year, VGC was second and TCG was pretty boring aside from a few matches here and there. Bubble was easily the most exciting thing alongside Tonosama's Grand Finals with Braxian.
