I guess PWT in 3D would "destroy" BW2 but honestly i doubt it will surpass BW2 anyway. BW2 just added too many new things for USUM to even try to compete

I doubt new forms would help to "surpass" anything. They're just like new mons, sure they're exciting and all but when there's not enough content then you waont enjoy it that much

Plus the magic of "new mons/forms" wears off quickly and then you're just judging the game by the other stuff it has, not only its mons

that's why it's only part of the needed ingredients. Alolan forms alone won't do anything, but it'd be nice to know they actually bothered to add new ones like they bothered to add new megas after XY. It just makes things more exciting, knowing you have a few new options to choose from

Necrozma's Pure Light form is actually evil (think Kremzeek, it loves chaos) it was sealed away by an unknown Pokemon that will be introduced in the Switch game.

Necrozma and the unknown Pokemon will be the legendaries of the Switch game - one representing evil light the other representing good darkness - a sort of Yin Yang playing more on the original definition where Yang (light) is bad and Ying (black) is good

> Yin is characterized as slow, soft, yielding, diffuse, cold, wet, and passive; and is associated with water, earth, the moon, femininity, and nighttime.

> Yang, by contrast, is fast, hard, solid, focused, hot, dry, and active; and is associated with fire, sky, the sun, masculinity and daytime.

It was felt by the Pokemon Company that Yin and Yang were the best way to appeal to a larger audience given everyone is aware of the symbolism even if they often get it the wrong way round.

Sun & Moon Legendaries (Solgaleo & Lunala)
Yang & Yin Legendaries (Necrozma & ?)

The Yang & Yin legendaries basically control the balance of right and wrong, an aspect briefly touched on in Sun & Moon with Lusamine calling out players on selectively choosing Pokemon - the aim is to blur the lines between good and evil of the human teams while making.

The human teams in US & UM will help further explore the balance between good and evil by showing us the other side of events.

Most of Aether were unaware of the secret testing beneath the Aether foundation.

Most of Team Skull are more actively evil than just basic thugs.

We see everyone is a mix of both and the two games diverge and rejoin at varying points of the story.

Naturally, brand new pokemon are more exciting, but unless GF gives us new pokemon mid-gen, the best we can get are new Alolan forms because they don't take up a new dex number (or megas but yea that is not happening)
