That's kind of a stretch. Orre was based on the entire state of Arizona, not just Phoenix. Mount Battle was inspired by Flagstaff, AZ.

It's Ar-see-us in Japanese

In the west, it's Ar-kee-us, because the other way sounds like "arse"

This is reflected in RKS System; in Japanese, it's called AR System, but it was changed to RKS System in the west to suit our pronunciation of Arceus

Arceus's name pronunciation in Pokémon Battle Revolution is Ar-SEE-us, however, this is wrong, compared to the movie's pronunciation of (Which is also the official pronunciation announced by Game Freak) Ar-KEE-us (as well as Silvally's ability being RKS System, not RCS System).
