>>33370536>Most reptiles and amphibians have osteoderms. Komodo dragons are not known for have extremely tough scales, at least not more so than any other lizard.that's where you're wrong, kiddo. Very few lizards have the amount of osteoderms Komodo dragons do (off the top of my head only gila monsters and beaded lizards hit a similar quantity and quality), i.e. covering the entire body and being large enough to preserve well after the animal dies and the flesh is stripped away. And Komodo dragons are very well known for their osteoderms (frequently described as like a set of "chain mail"); it's one of the major factors that allowed them to survive into the current day, because skin with a bone under each scale is hell to make leather out of.
>Come off it m8.Literally one of the most distinctive features that set Komodo dragons apart from most other monitors is a blunt, rounded snout. Compare kommo-o's snout to something like salazzle's to get an idea.
If it's just a random dragon, that's a hell of a lot of coincidences.
