>>33381062Not about criticism. I wanted to see what other ideas were out there, and sounded like you were offering. I just read the names of the moves and went down a list of Pokemon that I could see using the attack. It wasn't an exhaustive one; just neat ideas.
Also, for the ones you described, Spiritomb is imprisoned on a rock. Spirit Shackle does sort of make sense on it. The only reason it has an arrow in its animation is because of Decidueye, but that could change. The Jap name is "Shadow Stitching," which doesn't specify arrows. In a sense, Spiritomb is "stitched" to its rock by its shadow.
Throat Chop on Primeape made sense to me because it's an angry bastard. IIRC, Sneasel gets this as an egg move anyway so it's already on a Pokemon that's an odd choice for it, but the Japanese name is "Hell Thrust." Considering Primeape learns a lot of "I'm angry" moves, I could see it lashing out with hellish fury.
Ice Hammer on Avalugg makes sense because it's a giant walking iceberg. There have been weirder things than a Pokemon without fists being able to punch. I also pictured it as Avalugg just shoving its entire weight onto the opponent, maybe stomping with its front arms. All of your choices make sense too.
Revelation Dance I just wanted on something that dances. Bellossom made sense.
Baneful Bunker is named after a type of fort in Japanese. Dragalge is said in its dex to hide in seaweed and then wreck ships; just seemed like it wasn't a far stretch to go from there. Qwilfish does make a ton of sense too, though.
Darkest Lariat is a wrestling move and Machamp is a pro wrestler. I didn't think about the Z-Crystal, but considering its named after Incineroar and not the move or type of the move I figured it would just be Incineroar exclusive. Even though Snorlax's Z-Crystal activates upon Giga Impact, for example, it doesn't work on every Pokemon that knows Giga Impact.
