>>33388167>can't contradict an argumentThe ones that you listed as examples were all in the base game, and were not used as selling points for an entirely new game when it's evident it's likely just to be a typical Lyranroc with the same assortment of stats its comrades had, and knowing where they fall under the tiers, this one won't be much better. They were also not the only Pokemon that were shown for their gens in promotional material after two months of content drought. Plusle and Minun themselves had a gimmick that showed off the new abilities system along with being used to demonstrate double battles and how certain Pokemon could have synergies for one another dependent on the abilities that each one had. The monkeys were probably added as a crutch to show off how weaknesses play in the game, as Black and White had a system early on where you needed a type advantage for certain gyms, mostly for newcomers of the series. The old Genies are extremely lazy, no one should argue that, but got better with their own new forms. Also can't really argue against the pixies, but again, they were in the base game.
Lyanrock-Dawn is hated because of aforementioned reasons, and that in the scheme of things, it's all we had until USUM trailers. Plus it's an event mon that can only be received through getting the game early, and even then, you can't name it, you can't breed more of it, it's just kind of there to sell you the game. Imagine if we were waiting on Emerald, and then all they showed was a green Plusle/Minun rip-off that was given out that did nothing interesting, and then didn't do anything else to promote the game. It would leave a sour taste. Just like Lyanroc-Dawn did.
