Crabominable is an excellent Pokémon design.

Whilst they need improving, I liked the Trials as lore and the Totems were a welcome Whitney-tier challenge.

I didn't mind the cut scenes.

Verlisify is the best pokemon youtuber, ever
Physical Mantine, Alakazam, Dragalge and Magearna are viable in OU

I didn't care about the lack of backwards compatibility back in gen 3 and I still don't. Sorry I don't get attached to pixels.

Removing day/night cycle in RSE was a good decision since the lack of backlight made playing at night a pain for your eyesight.

I'd be completely okay if Gamefreak mixed and matched the available creature roster gen by gen like Digimon and Monster Hunter do, even if it meant some of my faves would be temporarily unavailable. Would allow them to stop being afraid of crossing the 1000 Pokemon barrier and make the competitive meta less reliant on legendaries.

Gen 4 sucked except for the part that was Gen 2.
Sun/Moon was great.
X/Y wasn't so bad.
Almost all shinies look like shit.
The anime has been trash since Orange League.
Pokéstar Studios, Pokéthlon, dress up bullshit and all that distraction garbage is the worst part of any game.
Lillie is boring and one of the least sexy Pokégirls.
Greninja is lame.
Primarina is hideous.
Mega-Heracross is an abomination.
Shelgon is cooler than Salamence.

I don't mind people hacking to get competitive Pokémon faster, but all the people who hack in shinies so they get have a fucking neon pink Weavile is retarded. The only value they have is their rarity and the personal satisfaction of having got one yourself

There are no bad games, only some that are more dull than others.

SM's story is good and sprinkled with surprisingly mature themes, however the poor pacing really hurts it.

Lore and worldbuilding are one of my favorite aspects of Pokemon and I'm glad GameFreak is expanding on that.

I don't hate any Pokemon. I can't feel hate for something solely because of design or how it functions in competitive.

This. X/Y vs S/M reminds me of Phanthom Menace vs Attack Of The Clones. We all thought that AOTC was better than TPM when it premiered, but we were just lying to ourselves.

This wouldn't be considered unpopular on any other website, but I really loathe Gen 5. The mon designs were absolute shit and being locked only to these "new" Pokemon (read: ugly reskins of old Pokemon) absolutely ruined all of BW for me. Gen 5 also introduced the cancers of Gym leaders/Elite 4 not having full rosters and being braindead easy, ridiculously gamebreaking nukes being handed to you almost for free, an overextended tutorial almost as bad as SM, and an incredibly casualized level curve (a free lucky egg will make you just as overlevelled as the Gen 6 Exp share). I also really hated the emphasis on cutscenes and frequent, extended sequences of repeated dialogue throughout the entire game as well as the game's complete linearity and tryhard, in-your-face, cringeworthy story (XY and SM get a lot of flak for this but BW is the game that started it, yet it gets off scot-free around here).
BW2 was a little bit better but you can only polish a turd so much.

The only actual flaw Gen 4 has is having a slow engine. Platinum redeemed its two predecessors and is one of the best games ever put out. No gen is legitimately bad except 6 and 7. 6 has some admirable qualities but 7 is irredeemable garbage. This also applies to starters. They're all at least ok until you reach gen 6.

albeit next is a relatively popular opinion to some but still, Z moves are uninteresting and boring, customization of z moves in usum does not peak my interest in the slightest. i guess credit to pokemon for trying to bring out something new but disappoints me that older designs/ideas aren't looked into for more development

I loved SM, it was fun.

Gen 4 and 5 are boring and mons overdesigned. Gen 7 fixed that.

The only actually bad looking Pokemon in my opinion are Stunfisk and the Klink line, everything else I can find some interesting design aspects in.
SM were fine, not the 20th anniversary celebration spectacular everyone was expecting, but as main series entries they were alright. Yes, even the cutscenes and "cutscenes". I've been tapping the A button rapidly for 16 years. I don't mind doing it for 16 more.
I would happily pay full price for a new Stadium game if it meant getting a consistent challenge that didn't rely on probability manipulation.
Hoenn is a boring region.

XY is great, I had fun with it, I liked that the pokedex is so big and that there are so many to customize your character and team. Kalos is comfy, the only real problem I have with it is that the south of France isn't represented and that the game was too easy, even for a pokemon game but it didn't prevent me from enjoying it.

I liked the trials, they were a nice change from the gyms which were getting easier and easier. I hope the concept will be present in next gens, but more as side quests next to the gyms or something like that.

I don't mind it when there's fanservice for "genwunners", it's always a nice surprise to see references to characters and events from previous games, but pokemon blue was my first video game ever and so seeing RBY in particular getting references always makes me happy.

I don't really hate any Pokemon, only their fanbase.
I find most Gen 1 & 2 Pokemon to be bland and forgettable.
Gen 2 starters are the worst ones.
Gen 5 starters aren't all that bad.
Primarina is cute and very strong.
SM were decent games.
I prefer Doubles over Singles even though I'm worse at them.
Smogon knows what it's doing.
