>>33425152>exist in nature>pokemon are natural being supposed to have existed since even before humans madePorygon is literally a bunch of data.
Mewtwo is a clone.
Voltorb and Electrode are rumored to be sentient pokemon
Castform was created by the weather-guys in hoenn.
Claydol and Baltoy were... well, dolls made from clay.
Banette was a plush doll.
Grimer and Muk were just human wastes.
Sounds like nature and existing way before humans, alright.
Did it ever occur to you that the only reason for the pokemon world to even hypothetically exist in the way it does currently is because of the symbiosis between pokemon and humans?
And that pokemon not only undergo the metamorphosis called "evolution" but evolution in the biological sense of the word? That thousands of years before pokemon looked very differently and look only like this now because of humans?
Think of it: Only pokemon who had no human contact since centuries are said to look still the same. Relicanth for example. or the regis.

I admit, some of the new designs look like shit.
I'm no fan of trubbish either, but otherwise I find the concept of artificial created pokemon really cool.
Gives a whole new view on that whole "nature and culture must stay divided"-thinking, along with the ethical problems.
To which extent are humans allowed to create sentient life and such
