>finally they tried throwing Steelix a bone by giving it a Mega but it's honestly nothing special unless you're running a Sandstorm Team, but Tyranitar is an infinitely better choice for your Mega in which case so why would you bother with Mega Steelix at all
I feel bad for Onixfags and Steelixfags, doomed to mediocrity because GameFreak can't think ahead on long term damage to a species just so they can give a cool Pokemon to an early Gym Leader as an Ace.
