>>33440592It was hype. It was a fairly light-hearted beginning to the adventure, but it felt weighted. The music made you feel like your journey was about to begin, and the visuals gave an air of grandiose design to the whole thing. It was a perfect bridge between the setup of the game (first two gyms, limited mon variety, tutorial for beginners, setup of plot) and the actual start of the game. It's a good symbolic piece and it builds the rest of the game up from there. (All of the other bridges help drive home the point that it's a transitory thing, too, and it adds cohesion to the region.)
