It's true.
Gen 5 took a fucking nosedive in Pokemon designs. Sure, there are a handful of pretty fucking cool Pokemon like Galvantula, Bisharp, and Volcarona but jesus they dropped the ball hard on the rest.

And just after Gen 4 was picking up Gen 3's shitty designs (which again had some good designs, but as a whole wasn't good.)

Gen 6 kind of redeemed the shit that was Gen 5 and Gen 7 improved upon gen 6.

Sorry kid, but its mostly agreed upon that
(Gen 1 + Gen 2 + Gen 4)>Gen 7>Gen 6>Gen 3>>>>>Gen 5

Honestly the problem isn't even hating the newer gens. The problem is that shitposter kun gives the Sinnoh dex a pass. You can make a case for the final forms of the starters and croagunk line, but everything else is shit. The worst gen in terms of designs.
