Sp. Atk and Sp. Def are fused back into one Special stat. Every Pokemon's Special is whatever their highest between the two is now, and moves that rose or lowered one obviously now raise the combined Special stat.

How fucked is the metagame?

It would be better if Atk and Def are fused into a Physical stat
