I think what I'm looking forward to the most is what kind of Pokemon the unused types will be for, and how well those types are implemented.

I'd love to see a Fire/Fairy type. Having a Fairy that could hit a Steel type for super effective damage would be useful. I had kind of imagined a lava mermaid sort of thing.

Oh shit, that's not a bad idea. Don't know why they wasted the Pele's Hair idea with Dugtrio, of all things, especially since this generation started pushing more Fairy types.

Poison needs more mons and type combinations just in general. Salandit and Salazzle were a great addition this gen, though they need to give her some kind of buff to make her useful. Maybe a poison type move that hits steel types for super effective damage, kind of like a poison Freeze-Dry. And I don't even know what the fuck to make of Nihilego.

Nihilego was fucking cool, and it's my new favorite legendary. I do think that it should have been Poison/Psychic though. Being made of glass and being an allegory for crystal meth, yeah, I understand... but between the teleporting and the mind-altering it really felt more like a Psychic type than anything.

Given that Alola is based on a volcanic island chain, and the Tapus are all 'Land Spirits' how one ended up being Psychic but none Fire or Ground is beyond me.
