If Switch is gen8 then I'm not hyped for it at all. The only thing that might be good and I can see happening is some kind of stand-alone kanto follow-up game (not remake) as a gen 7.5 because at least they'd have somewhere to start from already, because it seems like GF can't make a new region and a good game in one go. Also first game on a home console has to be a big one, and kanto sells for Joe Public, you know they could do it.
