>>33507063Don't know about them but my knowing everything beforehand didn't make a lick of difference to my final judgement on the games. Mostly because they'd told us almost everything about it ahead of time anyway. It almost couldn't get any worse.
The complete lack of anything to explore, the handholding, the removal of even basic control ability, the removal of all past side features besides the Battle Tower-esque thing, the most boring all of the post game facilities, etc. etc. were the problem and they did NOT live up to any hype. After OR/AS compared to HG/SS you shouldn't have even had any hype for them because you should've started assuming they'll just keep removing everything you like, even new things they're introducing meaning there's no good reason to get attached because one day everything you love about it will be removed for no reason.
So yeah... Knowing a lot about them going in had nothing to do with anything except telling you they're retarded in regards to how they're doing their marketing.
Good marketing makes you wonder what else there is they haven't told you about and then delivers and a good game doesn't then drag you through everything they've told you about already kicking and screaming once you've got your hands on it.
Opinions on the content itself and how much you knew about the content going in have nothing to do with these massive problems with this otherwise good series they've attached a Drilbur to and are ramming into the ground at warp speed.
