Gen 2 and 3 are my favorites and while I don't really dislike anything from those generations, this thing always comes to mind when I think "why does this exist". Like goddamn, Stantler is so forgettable it becomes memorable because of it.

Don't get so salty, anon. I have never used three of these pokés before tho. I also really like Gen 5 and Gen 2 too. The fact that I don't like about Carnivine is that it was given Levitate, like what the hell is supposed that this Pokémon could have an expanded potential to be a goodmon, but God damn Game Freak is too immature at that time. Bye.

I want this thing to be good, but no coverage moves, mediocre to bad stats, and only one ability to make you immune to shit you already resisted to begin with. The only way I can even use this shit is with sword dance on a trick room team and even then, it's a novelty gimmick at best.

I saw an interview where they said they added real late in development because "There weren't enough water/fish pokemon in gen 5" and then gave it two aesthetic forms for variety.
