Title 00040000001C6700 is "Pokemon Anti-Cheat". Got uploaded to the eShop on September 7th.

It's probably just an internal hack-checking tool, but whatever it is, I'm pretty excited to defeat it.

Also, I got the icon for Ultra Moon off of it.

This is very damn neat actually.
I mean, you can use it to check the pokémon you just injected and see if you fucked up. It's more useful to injectors than anyone else, no need to go online anymore to check if you didn't fuckup.

Yeah, I've been trying to make the most legit pokemon humanly possible for awhile now. My goal right now is to find all of the shiny, max iv, good natures from the GC games that flag legit.

Heh, thanks -- unlikely I'm gonna abandon Pokemon at any point soon. Been pouring almost all my free time into switch hax so that it'll be ready when the time comes for Pokemon Switch to be datamined, and I'm pretty confident it will be.

I hit 400 hours on Sun & Moon this week, most of it spent breeding.
In that time, I've got a 6IV Shiny Aegislash and a 6IV Shiny Charizard, and that's not spectacularly luckier than average
Damn right I'm gong to use them in tournaments when they're legal

People who whinge about VGC players hacking never have any idea how breeding works.

You can get results faster through breeding and levelling to 50, than it takes to level up to 100 or getting a hold of one/six gold/regular bottle caps, let alone doing both

I got a few 6IVs and I never hack, bred them myself.
I did use 6IV Ditto but I got that from a trade, and even in the best setup with the right parents it's at best a guaranteed 5IV, the last IV rolls randomly if I'm not mistaken, so basically it's a 1/31 chance of getting it, not hard at all.

Of course getting a 6IV Ditto is fucking retarded legitimately.

Making Pokemon from scratch ruins the point of the game, which is catching and trading. I only hack to take out the bullshit out of the game, not the fun parts.
I catch/breed Pokemon with the right moves and everything and then edit them in PKSM, raising the IVs do 31 and EV training them.

I don't like IVs and EV training, but I like collecting Pokemon. If I could just create a living dex out of nowhere that's me quitting the game entirely since there's no point to any of it and I might as well as play Showdown.

That's completely fine. But we were discussing if injecting Bottle Caps was faster than just creating the pokémon from scratch, which it isn't. Nor is it a viable option to breeding for perfect IVs if you want to stay clean of hacking.

I guess the speed argument depends on what tools you have available. I use PKSM directly on the 3DS, so editing is much faster. But if someone, say, only uses userland homebrew and have to manually extract the save from their cart and then take out the SD card and into the PC every time they want to edit something, then I can see the convenience argument of 999 bottle caps.

It also depends on how deep you want to go. Are you fine with breeding for natures? Egg moves? If so bottle caps have you covered, if not editing is the only option.
