That's right, your modern (circa 2000) children's "entertainment" caused by overprotective parents who can't be bothered to actually do the raising of their children themselves and want the TV to do so wasn't how entertainment used to be. That's why you hear tell of how good 80's and 90's cartoons in particular were.
