ITT we discuss hopes for USUM

With the reveal of UB Burst and UB Assembly this seems like a pretty safe choice. I love the Ultra Beasts, as their designs are… different to say the least. I can’t wait for more, and I hope we get some more unique typings.

>Harder Difficulty and/or a tutorial skip

Since Emerald, the third/expanded versions have tended to be harder than the initial games.

Emerald’s harder Gym leader teams were literally a selling point.

While Platinum’s difficulty wasn’t a selling point or put into a specific mode, it IS harder than Diamond and Pearl.

Black and White 2 however literally introduced a challenge mode.

I feel like Gamefreak tries to market the third/expanded versions to wider audience at least a little, so it would be nice if they could re-introduce challenge mode or at the least add a tutorial skip. This might be the most far fetched thing on this list though, due to Gamefreak’s new mindset.

I want a new Battle Facility and a new post game island. The latter seems quite likely, as there is a very thick cloud in the bottom left of the new Alola map that was transparent in the original Alola map. Not to mention that they used clouds to obscure post-game areas on the original Black and White, XY and ORAS maps. (BW2 also had Ice covering some areas)

We’ve also already seen something that seems akin to Lt.Surge’s Gym, so it's possible there will be some sort of Post game gym challenge. Also, all third versions since Crystal have had a new Battle Facility of some kind.

Honestly more post-game isn’t just a hope, it’s a necessity. When I look back on these games in the future the post-game will a huge factor in my opinion on them.

>Another Necrozma form

I want the light based Pokemon on the boxart to be a new Necrozma form. I’m quite disappointed with the fact that the Boxart Legendary Pokemon turned out to be Necrozma forms rather than Solgaleo and Lunala forms, because they don’t really look like it. Black and White Kyurem were also fusions of the third legendary with the boxart legendaries, but they still clearly looked like Kyurem was the base Pokemon. These two new forms don’t though. They look like Solgaleo and Lunala with Necrozma parts slapped on top like armour, they don’t look like a fusion.

So I hope Necrozma gets what he deserves, a new form that actually represents him and look like a Necrozma form.

I hope they add new move tutors. The Alola pokedex is desperately in need of more moves.

In terms of Pokemon I specifically want to get a lot more moves there are my two favourite Alola Pokemon Kommo-o and Silvally. I really hope they don’t use Kommo-o’s Z move as a reason to not give him any good new moves. I really don’t like Z moves at all and I won’t be using Kommo-o’s.

I know it's improbable but I want to see Vikavolt get a usuable speed stat.
Also more areas like Seaward Cave and Kala'es bay just cool out of the way places with new/rare Pokemon.

You thought Platinum was harder than DP?
I found DP much more challenging, such as it is, because of all the gyms having fewer mons of that type to pick so there was random off types in people's teams.

So no diglets 10 levels lower curb stomping the entire gym singlehandedly.

Hell. Even Cynthia's team got nerfed in Platinum.

Platinum might be MUCH more enjoyable and just a better game than DP... but by no means is it not easier by 10,000%.

Gyms aren't that much tougher, as someone who just did a nuzlocke in Platinum, it's usually average random trainers that catch you off guard.

That's what I said.
They're easier (such as it is, this IS Pokemon after all) in Platinum.

I blame the smaller dex size in DP because GF dipped into random mons that weren't the gym's type but could learn a move of that type.
Which made DP ""harder"" than Platinum.
