Do you think we'll hit Pokemon 1000 in Gen 9 or 10?

66 new Pokemon on average for 3 gens feels too slim, I think we'll get 2 gens of around 90ish pokemon to hit it at Gen 9.

So Gen 9 would be for the 25th anniversary.

what else would we all want with the 25th.

I would like a game where there is a all regions journey and the objective gain a minimum of 10 badges (maximum 20). The purpose is to go into a round robin tournament against all the champions, selected strong trainers, and selected Elite4 members.

Going about business is small mini-quests, trials.

The path would not be set, optional paths would be available.

This would be one game (not dual release).

theres a whole lot more, and other things way too much to go into now.

Also if you could pick which town to start in and all trainers levels are decided by how many badges you have, allowing you to go non linear.

Story is optional but present.

okay, no objections

what 's the views on the starters. As much as I would love to pick from all and possible 3 new ones, my Autism makes me still say the starters from the region you start in has to stay.

dude gamefreak is in charge of pokemon, that will never happen. at best, we'll get a new pikachu form thats stronger than Raichu for the 25th anniversary.

Getting 66 new Pokemon on average per gen is only necessary if Pokemon 1000 is the last Pokemon in the dex in gen 10.

They could do it Victini-style and have the 1000th pokemon lead off the 10th generation dex.
