I can respect Lysandre for wanting to kill the French but his team was dumb as hell. Rocket is just kind of basic and bland. Neo Rocket was much better. They felt like actual antagonists then and went so far as to kidnap a tower full of people and pokemon to prove their point.

Cyrus did not pussyfoot around and had probably the greatest plan ever. You seriously cannot fuck with a guy who not only planned on wiping and remaking the universe but came close to getting that fucking power.
I despise Lusamine but damn if she was not like Cyrus unhinged. She was appropriately cruel and fitting for a villain. Guzma is pretty fucking rad but he's really better suited as an antihero with some anger issues than a lead antagonist.

I know the difference but still like both and find them to be the most agreeable. Colress is a husbando and N is not only that but probably the most agreeable human to me. Not to mention Ghetsis' plan I found brilliant. Use a nice guy figurehead like N to win people over by being someone pokemon themselves generally like. If that's not enough him being fucking "pure" or
"chosen" or whatever gay word you want to use enough to revive and command an actual legendary pokemon makes for piss easy propaganda for convincing people to release their pokemon and be more defenseless. Then when that backfired when N lost have a backup plan and freeze every motherfucker who disagrees to you and bring a region to its knees. Cyrus is the stronger antagonist and sure Maxie and Archie are the ones to get what they want, but I find myself still being a Plasmafag in the end. Skull is number 2. A gang for broken souls to have meaning with two leaders I like.
