>>33574628Kind of makes it Dullahan (essentially a headless horseman) type character which could fit Fairy or even Ghost very easily; in myth it is a type of Unseelie Fairy, but those traits could translate more readily into the Ghost type in pokemon. The fact that the only part that evokes this is its removable head, whilst not having a steed or the more ghastly elements you could expect of a Dullahan suggests this would be a very loose influence.
Inspection of its design elements though, potentially point to Grass/Fire, because it very much resembles seed pods like those of poppy which do literally burst or, the head of a dandelion.
Furthermore it evokes fireworks, which are known in Japanese as 花火 [hanabi] which is literally the characters 花 [flower] and 火 [fire] combined (this is also evoked in Chinese where it can be translated as 'smoking flower')
so there are many possibilities here based on its design but the four most prime candidates are Fairy, Ghost, Fire and Grass. The last two are sort of contingent on being there together, but Fairy and Ghost work independently. Reluctantly I would have to acknowledge that Psychic could also be a possibility but I would be thoroughly disappointed if it is Psychic type because that feels like such a cop out.
