I used 14 Pokémon in my run on X and AS, and 18 in Moon, so Exp. Share was very useful to make that possible.

In Moon, I got to E4 with every 18 of them on 55. It was nice.

I did because I don't like ginding. playing on set is the better option to make the game "harder" the games are repetitive enough

I use it for grinding competitive mons in game and I turn it on and off depending on where I am compared to the opposing trainers.

I use it but I routinely swap out Pokemon on my team so I complete the majority of the dex in my playthrough

I use it only when grinding, so it becomes faster and less tedious. And to balance my team once their levels start to differ to much.

Since XY, i always did this:

I used it in the older games when I caught a new Pokemon and needed it to catch up with the rest of the team. But in gen 6, I just turn it off during the main game. The games are easy enough that you can get enough experience from trainer battles and you never need to grind against wild Pokemon anyway, even when you don't use the exp share.

Why would I purposely ruin my entire playthrough by having an overleveled team?
I'd only consider using it if I decide to level up a brand new team somewhen in the game or if I'm doing a nuzlocke and end up with almost my entire team dead and have to train up the new pokemon

In Nuzlock: heavily, since Pokemon I just caught tend to be 10+ levels below the Grind-happy party. Nothing like catching a level 31 stunfisk when your party is 45+.
