I think alola raichu would be too good. timid raichu would have 289 SpA max doubled that's 578 as if it had 240!! base SpA or just a free nasty plot.

with Tbolt, psychic, focus blast and a desired HP it could take care of most walls ou has to offer and with tapu koko in the team, it would have extreme sweeping potential

Its arguable that any Pokemon that could withstand an initial attack would just get brute forced or damaged beyond use if they finish the job

Raichu is my favorite, I would honestly love it despite how OP he would be.

I'm just glad I play doubles and he's pretty viable in that format, compared to singles (which I haven't played since gen 5) he was decent at best

I think what they should do is make it work with raichu but make it boost stats by a smaller amount than it does for pikachu. But just enough to make raichu actually a threat.

Why would they bother with such an unnecessary ban when Raichu would murder absolutely everything even without Terrain support? It would literally be Hoopa-U with 110 base speed.
