Is it ridiculously easy to catch the Ultra Beasts in the Beast Balls, or is there still some challenge?

Not quick ball on the XY legends easy, but not very difficult. Use normal types of pokeballs for a real challenge.

Wrong, for the most part.
Quick Ball is 4x the first turn, Beast Ball is 5x against UBs.
Xerneas, Yveltal and Nihilego all have 45 catch rate, meaning it is much easier to catch Nihilego than X/Y.
Can't be bothered to calculate but pretty likely that's the case for Xurk at 30.
Pheromosa and Kartana have a 255 catch rate, they're easy, almost guaranteed regardless of what ball you use. Literally as easy to catch as Caterpie.

They have to be caught sequentially, it'd be a pain to have to catch 4 Kartana in a row if they were all low catch rate just so I could move on to whatever followed

The buggy UBs are like caterpies in Ultra Space, while later UB have higher catch rates. What is Terrakion-tier power is common in Ultra Space, while Necrozma is a legendary of Ultra Space.
