I don't believe that theory, because there is no mention of them coming from alternative timeline.

the last one of the left could be Faba but the one before him does not have Wicke's proportions. The male figure on the right could be anyone, but the closest figure on the left does not resemble any character we know of (except maybe Hapu in terms of body size.)

Lusamine and Faba in labcoats.
2 people in suits designed to enter Ultra Space. Possibly a flashback with Mohn and someone else entering Ultra Space. We know Cosmog and Mohn's notes on Nihilego made it through the wormhole without Mohn, so the 4th person was possibly on the mission with Mohn and made it back.

They're Lillie and her mom from Sun and Moon, they went to Kanto with the SS Anne but an accident involving portals happened and the SS Anne sinked in the ocean while Lillie and her Mom were teleported to the UltraSun and UltraMoon dimension.

They're completely new characters, since new characters are a staple of enhanced versions since Crystal, and the evil team got Charon in Platinum and Colress in BW2.

The bulge is an arm. The left hand is positioned near the chin while the right hand is behind the back, not the pose Gladion makes.

Lusamine is both a known character and unlike Lillie, Gladion or Hau she is a more minor character in the story. Completely new characters, on the other hand, are more likely to entice people because they tease new content.

Hau is your rival, an important position in Pokemon, and has more appearances. Lusamine, while she is the true antagonist of the series, is not as prevelant. While her actions do have a lot of bearing on the plot, her role is a more minor one in comparison.

Hau isn't your rival. Gladion is. Hau is the friend character, and actions don't do nearly as much for the story or the other characters as Lillie's family.

Hau shows up a lot, but really doesn't have much of a bearing on the story outside of being a foil to Gladion during bants.
