Why wouldn't I? It takes 30 minutes tops to find a good natured Pokemon, if the species is somewhat common, while I'll be spending dozens and dozens of hours using it. It's worth it, especially because I can reset its EVs at postgame and use it for the battle facilities and multiplayer. If I'm going to put time into a Pokemon, he better at least not suck.

I don't reset the starter though, it gets more annoying and long with each generation. I just box it if the nature is REALLY bad.

I hope they eventually come up with a workaround for Nature, like they did with IVs in gen 7. I've got a Togekiss from gen 3 with Tri Attack and Softboiled, but a shitty nature.

I do worse, I catch the pokémon and then modify its nature and IVs.
The worst part is that I justify it with my headcanon where I pretend I'm altering them genetically or some shit among those lines ingame.

Why. It's offensive movepool is shit anywauyy and it gets shadow ball and energy ball which are badically special spirit shackle and leaf blade, but he at least can also get z-frenzy plant which is nice on him. And who thinks spirit shackle is better for the effect is retarded as npcs never switch anyway. The only thing he loses is sucker punch.

By breeding perfect mons before I progress through the game, I will not only be using the best mons possible that I planned to use, I'll also save time by not having to breed competitive versions of them later again.

I planned my team for Z way before I got BTFO when it never got announced and we got SM instead. Sure, it backfired, but I simply restarted my X game (cause Y is my main one) and used that team I had planned.
