>>33595239I know you're thinking/hoping that the remakes will be on the Switch, but honestly I can see GameFreak going with a more modern approach to recreating Kanto, since it'll be the first game on the Switch. Imagine a fully lit, sprawling neon Saffron City at night, or the vastness of Viridian Forest. Obviously there'd have to be a ton more of variety of encounters otherwise I think I'd probably get bored of finding Caterpie for the next hour or so, but you get the idea.
