Do you think regional forme variants are going to be abandoned after Gen 7 like they did with Megas?

Megas were a colossal mistake, but regional forms mitigate power creep while also making it easier for GF to pad out Pokedex's with "new" Pokemon that reuse other assets.

Megas were a good idea on paper. But give it to already strong pokemon was the mistake.
More megas like Beedrill and Mawile could be good.

There are now over 700 Pokemon, so it's going to get harder and harder to come up with new Pokemon. Regional forms are a great compromise to pad out the Pokedex. Not only does it give irrelevant Pokemon a chance to see new life, but it also helps flesh out the region itself.

Z-moves are definitely going to die next gen because they are equivalent of megas, Regional variants may stay but maybe they will be like gender difference and die slowly

This, I definitely see them more akin to gender differences. We'll likely get some every so often, but a lot less than we did in their initial introduction.

They aren't comparable at all.

Z-Moves are Gen 7's equivalent to Megas, not Alola forms.

Not really though Garchomp’s Mega was arguably worse and Kangaskhan wasn’t strong before Megas. The Pokémon’s strength before hand didn’t relate to it’s Mega’s strength. They picked some popular Pokémon and some oddballs which is the way to do it.
