Let's be honest /vp/, the Ultra Beasts is when GF jumped the shark wih the franchise. They are a neat idea but they have zero presence in the story and no real reason to exist. I expected them to give Pokemon actual fucking bosses, or at least make an explanation why they have much lower stats when you capture them
Instead they are just normal Pokemon but with wacky designs. You might think they look "clever and creative" but they look like shit, and they don't fit in the Pokémon universe.UBs break conventions and they are shit for that reason, it's not creative to just go wild and do whatever you want because there are no rules now. Guzzlord for example looks like something a 9 year old with no sense of restraint would draw. They dilute the franchise and causes it to lose some of its identity.
