Tell me about some controversial changes you would like to make to Pokémon. I'll start.

For me, I'd love to remove the random encounter system entirely in favor of replacing it with a refined DexNav system along more symbol encounters. Random encounters are annoying as shit and break the pace of exploring the maps, this change would make navigating dungeons and the like more enjoyable.

I'd honestly change the combat system in the main games to something more along the lines of Pokken Tournament. I kinda feel like without abandoning the turn-based combat system, we're going to get more and more desperate measures like Z-Moves.

Change pokemon and human's places.
Fisherman = water types
Lass's = normal types

But you as a pokemon have a battle ability that can gives specific boosts to some of you humans.

I'd like that in caves and dungeons where Pokemon just appear. But I like tall grass how it is.

As convenient as this would be, it would be kinda fucked up in the context of the games. Mental reprogramming for the purpose of battle. I don't think they'd allow it. Plus the right nature is really easy to get now.

They already have hyper training. They've simplified IVs enough. Completely random HP sounds bad.

I'd change the battle system to work similarly to classic Fallout.
Pokemon get a new AP stat. It's balanced with previously existing stats. Higher speed and special stats are also likely to have low-mid decent AP.
Slower Pokemon with high physical attacks are likely to average higher AP.
Battles are still turn based, with a simple grid. You can perform as much movement as you'd like in a turn, and using a move or running out of AP ends your turn.

Physical attacks can only affect enemies within a certain range.
Special attacks tend to have better range.
The trainer is visible, stationary, and generally requires a straight line of sight to throw a Pokeball and catch the enemy Pokemon. There may sometimes be things on the field such as rocks or trees that block your sight. Certain Pokemon can destroy these entities.
Certain balls get characteristics that make them bettee to throw curves with.

In game battles would probably be pretty simple. Most of the time you'd just run up to the enemy and smash them. But I think this would raise the skill ceiling in tournament play.

The trainer class now actually matters and gives to the battles diferent effects according the class, for example:

The effects of the class would work better with specific Pokémon that suits with the trainer class so the game not gets broken with some combinations.
And of course you can choose your own trainer class.

It's not that fucked up at least for me, just make it subtle, the Dqm games had personalities that could be changed by books and it was okay, maybe the npc can go from hypnotizing your mon to tell it a scary story to make it timid or careful

Reset every Pokemon's stats, typings and movepools and give them a fresh start. The series is being held back because Game Freak wants your bro from 2003 to be playable in a 2017 game.

In the fangame that I'm never going to make, I came up with the idea of an item that could change a Pokemon's nature, but said item 1) required inputs of renewable but slow-growing ingredients, and 2) the nature that the Pokemon changed to was completely random.

Survival pokemon.
You're in the wilderness and you have to rely on your mons to survive. You have to stay alert for feral mons that attack you and you have to live off of pokemon prey.

At the same time you have to keep your mons alive, for example a water mon can give you drinkable water but can not live too distant from it. To migrate you have to find a way to keep it wet.
Grass types live off sunlight but are frail and slow
Bug types help you find stuff
Fire types cook things and light campfires but are sensible to cold
Ghost types do not need anything but other mons are scared by them
Psychic types are really useful but are very smart and proud, they could leave you for good if you fuck up too much
Dark types are great predators but eat a lot
Fighting types have a strong sense of honor and a respect system, etc

Natures are easy enough to work around, instead we should get a NPC to change HPs.
I agree entirely about IVs, tho. They're almost absolutely useless, save for a few gimmicks.
Alternatively, they should make Hyper Training easier, including the possibility to make them 0.

I feel they're gonna implement something like that on a future generation. A special "aura" or ability from the traine that helps its team.

Maybe even Trainer Levels, that could raise your chance to catch, unlock new Pokéballs, the ability to Mega evolve and Z-Moves, something like that.

Movepools are changed almost every new game already. Some Pokémons are even getting minor stat buffs since XY. Typings are a bit too much i guess.
