All their issues could've been fixed if they gave us a Z instead of rushing into S/M

It's funny that they seemed to deliberately leave huge doors open with the main story and seemed to leave things like AZ fairly unexplored, like they were deliberately hyping up for a third version this time, more so than the base games in gen 3 and 4. And then woops, nothing.

I had a great time with X. The characters and gym leaders weren't very memorable however (though Shauna was cute and AZ was mysterious) and I hated Lumiose City. The music was great in some areas, but overall my least favorite OST. Mountain Kalos and the town with the Lucario Tower were the only areas I really liked.

Still, I definitely do not hate it and I think it's overall a better game than SM. I love the rollerblading.

second worst mainline games including remakes after DP. At least the dex was fantastic, probably the best reigonal dex the series has ever had. The new mons were mostly good, too. And mega evolution was fun, even if it could've been distributed a bit better.

Gave us a lot of great Pokemon designs. Gave us 3D. Greatly improved new shinies. Introduced Megas. Super training was cool. Trainer customization was very welcome. Likable Professor I suppose. That's about it.

Everything else felt like a half-assed time waster. Nothing ever tried to be anything special or stand out, it was all just really subpar. Pacing was awful, worst villain team to date, pathetically easy even without EXP Share, and I honestly can't think of a single truly memorable or stand out moment.

I dont hate you quite as much as most of vp but by 3D pokemon games go your the least offensive. Mostly because it was such a big transition i expected a few things to be lack luster. Your story had awkward pacing and you made a bunch of friend characters that were given literally no personality other then being nice. And the hardware could barely handle most extravagant battles and flying battles fucked with a lot of animations, making awkward mons like Natu and Salamence.

However you did have fantastic and easy to connect to online, and made it feesble to even consider breeding. I expected the next 3D games to start working on the model and technical issues but Oras ended up being minimal effort remakes whih really should of just based themselves on emerald and SM tried to be more cinematic on Care Bear level writing and tried to redo all the 3D models instead of work on their technical issues. And throw out your amazing online and egg hatching circle.

Playing through Y right now, and what's pissing me off is the amount of catchable Pokemon. I know people think a bigger dex is always better, but this amount of excess annoying since there is little driving me to trying out the new Pokemon. It keeps fucking dumping old mons on me. I mean they fucking gave a Kanto starter and expect me to mega-evolve it. It dumps Lucario on me and expects me to mega-evolve me. WHAT ABOUT SOMETHING NEW?

I don't. I spent that past week playing through the Y version I've had collecting dust for the past 3.5 years. It was actually a lot better than I remembered it; unfortunately, after having played SM, the XY cutscenes (especially the ending one where you battle AZ) look like complete ass in comparison.
