Kinda disappointed Mantine isn't for diving, but surfing seems interesting. More so if "surf between islands" actually means you can reach other islands. Slightly getting hyped, but they still have work to do.

I'm gonna be honest here, as someone who absolutely hated SM this looks pretty decent. M-Maybe the new director saved this gen... if these are decent I hope he has a chance to direct Gen 8. Ohmori and Masuda have done enough damage and should stick to what they do best, cool features like the PSS and for Masuda music.

Because it's still surfing? The Tauros mini-game in S/M is Rock Smash as well, but it's not like that while exploring.

Note that Mantine's Pokeride is called 'Mantine Surf' while Lapras's Pokeride is 'Lapras Paddle'. Lapras might still be in this and retains the same thing. I mean, how are you going to fish out items and Pokemon?

Not only that, but Hau doesn't throw a pokeball at the beginning of battle. He just does a gesture, like the player characters in HGSS when the first member appears in battle.
