What's the easiest way to play Heartgold or Soulsilver? Is there anywhere I can find an emulator, or do I have to buy the games?

Try melonDS or the medusa (mGBA 2.0) nightlies if you want good yet new and still incomplete DS emulators as DeSmuME is shit. melonDS in particular supports Wi-Fi.
