am I the only one who is a little annoyed that they didn't choose Incineroar to be in Pokkén Tournament DX?

Incineroar is based off heels in professional wrestling, and yet, instead of a pokémon based off a fighter, they choose this autistic bird who for some reason has mixed-attacker stats despite learning 0 special moves by level-up

Incineroar is too basic. Sure it has that heel thing going on with cheating and all, but when it comes down to it you would get Machamp but it cheats. Decidueye is a whole new Archetype and not humanoid. The gliding is unique, the arrows are unique, the zoning is unique. It is obvious why Incineroar isn't gonna be in Pokken unless Ash truly gets one but looking at the anime now it is highly unlikely for either starters to fully evolve.

I don't hate Decidueye, it has a nice design, but it feels like Nintendo is just trying to save something thats long dead;

they completely butchered the pokemon with its stats, so they try saving it by constantly giving it spotlight in side games and the anime

Not really. It is way too similiar to bowser in physique. And what would its moveset be? Incineroar really doesn't translate well in any games does it...

Decidueye is the Greninja of Alola, so TPC is hyping it in every upcoming game. It was allways this way, just look at Charizard, who hast gotten two mega evolutions even after over 15 years.

Pretty much whatever onee said, Decidueye is unique to Pokken, while Incineroar is Machamp+Libre that's also the 5th fire type.
I have no doubt that if the game stays relevant long enough, we'll get the cat as DLC or in Pokken 2, but priority comes to the diversity.

Do you even know what Bowser looks like? If Incineroar is similar to a character physique wise it's probably Ganondorf, but even then it has way longer arms.

I think Decidueye was chosen so that more grass types could be represented as well as also having a gen 7 rep because until DX, Sceptile was the only playable grass type in the game. Decidueye seems to kill 2 birds with one stone in this regard since he's both representing grass types and gen 7. Incineroar seems better suited to smashes style of gameplay rather than Pokkens.

Sure, keep being delusional. There IS no Greninja of alola except for Greninja himself: how else do you explain the snowflake form it got along with retconning its signature move (water shiruken) to compliment its better attacking stat? GF purposely made the alola starters underwhelming just so they could shill Greninja a bit longer.

Reminder: Inceneroar was the line that got nearly all of the hyping at the start of the generation. But then the Rowlet line was the one that showed itself to be more popular overall; Decidueye's presence is a reflection of this.

At least with Ash's Torracat having a rivalry with Kukui's/Masked Royal's Incineroar gives me more hope, though they did also team up in the other episode Kukui's/Masked Royal starred in. I already thought of a moveset:

Neutral Special: Dark Pulse (Fully charged one stuns whoever's hit)
Side Special: Darkest Lariat (Always guard breaks blocking foes, sayonara Puff)
Down Special: Bulk Up (Temporary Super Armor, strength buffs, and defense buffs)
Up Special: Flame Chrge (Temporary speed boost if you hit an opponent)

Final Smash: Malicious Moonsault (No shit, what else)
